How long do prescriptions stay valid?
Prescriptions vary depending upon your doctor and the state you live in. Unless there is a valid medical reason to require more frequent exams it generally varies between one and two years. However, each state sets its own laws to establish how often a doctor can require you to come in for eye exams.
