Acuvue are soft contact lenses by Johnson & Johnson (Vistakon). Acuvue was the world's first disposable contact lens. Acuvue contact lenses are designed for two-week daily wear or one-week continuous wear. Their thin design allows for sufficient amounts of oxygen to be transmitted to the eye. Acuvue Contact Lenses help provide protection against the transmission of harmful UVA and UVB rays to the cornea.
Acuvue lenses are tinted for ease of handling and will not change the color of your eye. The tint is simply designed to facilitate locating the contact lenses in solution. These contact lenses contain an inside-out "AV" indicator to help ensure proper application/insertion.

Great Contact Lens
For several years my optometrist had tried to switch me over from Acuvue to Acuvue Oasys because it 'breathes better'. I resisted because I saw no reason to switch with zero eye issues with the original Acuvue lens. I had worn the original Acuvue for over 15 years and in that time only had one very minor eye irritation and that was over 10 years ago. Bottom line, they worked perfectly.
Still the best lenses.
The Accuvue contact lenses from Johnson & Johnson are great! I have worn these contacts for about 5 years and I don't plan on switching anytime soon! With proper care these last for a very long time and are very cheap. The acuvue contacts do not dry out or cause any irritation, so I plan on wearing them for a long time.
I've been wearing Acuvue contact lenses since J&J first came out with them years ago. They are extremely comfortable and easily worn 24 hours/day for 2+ weeks at a time. I was thrilled to find a contact lens I did not have to remove nightly that was comfortable. I have recommended to many friends that they try Acuvue contacts and they are very pleased with them.
